Use case

Keep a group kitty, wherever the money is.

The cash box is with the coach, the bank account with the treasurer and the bar takings with whoever closed up. Penny Monet records who holds what, and adds it up to one group balance.

Group balance

Approach

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Record the opening balance

Record what each holder has at the start, as a separate registration with a reason. It isn’t income to be split.

  2. 2

Record money in and out per holder

Choose who received or paid the money, so it lands in the right pot.

  3. 3

    Transfer when cash changes hands

The coach hands the cash box takings to the treasurer: one transfer, the group balance stays the same.
