One cash book. Everyone sees the same picture.

Penny Monet records a group’s shared money: income, expenses, expense claims, who holds the money and what each person still owes or is owed. It runs in the browser, on phone and computer.

Built for groups

Roles, rights and a history that stays readable.

Three roles

Treasurer, member and guest. Whoever starts a group becomes treasurer, and a group can have more than one.

Rights per action

Decide who may submit expenses, review them, split costs, record money, offset and correct: all members, selected members or treasurers only.

Guests see their own part

A guest sees only their own claims, credits, debts and payments. The group balance and other people’s activity stay hidden.

Nothing disappears

Corrections are struck through and stay visible, with the new line beneath. Every change shows who did what and when.

Address book

One address book per group for people and organisations. Whether a contact is a customer or supplier follows from how you use them.

Four languages, light and dark

English, Dutch, German and Spanish. Amounts follow the notation people are used to, such as €1,152.50 or € 1.152,50.

Out of scope

What Penny Monet doesn’t do

  • No bank or payment provider
It never holds, collects or transfers money.
  • No bank import
Transactions are recorded by the group, not imported from an account.
  • No automatic offsetting
Credits and debts stay separate until someone offsets them on purpose.
  • No currency conversion
The currency sign is display only. Amounts are kept exactly, to the cent.
