Hockey clubs

Kit, hall rental and the training camp, clearly kept.

Outdoor season, indoor season, a training camp abroad. Hockey teams handle a fair amount of shared money. Penny Monet keeps it in one place, with each player’s part visible.

Typical money matters

What hockey teams keep track of

Team kit

A contribution per player, paid in one go or in parts. The overview shows who is still open.

Hall rental in winter

An invoice from the venue: record it as an unpaid supplier expense until it is paid.

Training camp

A deposit now, the rest later. Record both as expected and watch them come in.

Umpires and coaching

Small recurring costs, split over the team or paid from the kitty.

Third half

The round after the match, recorded on the spot or offset against someone’s credit.

Several teams

In more than one team? Each group has its own theme and its own books.

Example

Offsetting

Owes €60, is owed €14? Offset it.

When a player advanced money for the team and still owes a contribution, an authorised person can set one against the other. No money moves and the offset stays on the record.
